It has once again come to the attention of the Elections and Boundaries Department that there are individuals who are visiting residents to obtain their personal information and claiming to be Elections and Boundaries Department staff.
The public is advised that all staff of the Elections and Boundaries Department is issued with Valid Staff Identification Card. The public is therefore advised to request such identification card prior to providing any information.
By law, Elections and Boundaries Officers are required to conduct investigations into applications for registration of electors. However, at ALL times officers are to visibly display their identification card when conducting an investigation or any transaction on behalf of the Department.
The public is advised to immediately report any suspicious individuals to the nearest Police Station.
The Elections and Boundaries Department also reminds electors who have not registered since July 2018 to do so as soon as possible.
