STORY #6 Police Receives Golf Cart
It was added stress for C.I.B. personnel when at the time of having to deal with investigations, apart from figuring how to uncover the criminal, they had to figure out first how they would transport themselves or persons concerned from one place to another. This problem is now over as now the investigation unit at San Pedro Police Station has a new golf cart at their disposal to make their job easier.
On Tuesday, February 2, Mr. Martin Goldberg of Carts Belize handed over the keys for a Police golf cart which used to be a two-seater, now neatly rebuilt and remodeled as a four-seater, ready to take on the streets and be put to good use.
The Police department is grateful to Carts Belize for their brave effort in undertaking this project and now this cart is the reflection of a job well done. Partially financed by G.O.B. this project would not have been a success had it not been for the kind support and contributions from several local businesses and concerned citizens.
It is for that reason that the department extends the most sincere thanks to Carts Belize, Matachica Resort, Costa Maya Reef Resort, Captain Morgan’s Retreat, FC’s Aluminum, Ms. Celie Grief and the Villas at Banyan Bay. A substantial portion of this bill is yet to be settled with the supplier so any further donations would be very welcome. Mr. Goldberg or SGT Reyes can be contacted for further information.
